Access control is, in reality, an everyday phenomenon. A lock on a car door is essentially a form of access control. A PIN on an ATM system at a bank is another means of access control. The possession of access control is of prime importance when persons seek to secure important, confidential, or sensitive information and equipment.

Infronics Systems has access control as a basis for all other application layers. Access rights are managed using individual and group access profiles in combination with areas and access schedules. Infronics Systems has developed Time and Attendance based Access Control System which works on Biometric technology to capture the time-in and time-out of  users  for  attendance  purpose  and  to  grant  access  to authorized persons only.

Every user has to undergo a onetime enrollment process which will capture the user finger print and other details like employee ID etc and store in a user database. Whenever a user enters the restricted zone, he has place his finger on the finger print scanner and the image is compared with the existing template in the system. If a match is found then access is granted and the user’s login time stamp details are sent to the central system for future references. If a match is not found then access is denied and an alarm is raised depending on client requirement.
