Real-time visibility into exact locations of containers and cargo has never been as important as today with increased movement of cargo from offshore, the need to move it quickly to final destinations and new security requirements. Today’s wireless technology provides critical visibility into supply chain activities, delivering benefits to carriers, shippers and customers.
Real-time locating systems (RTLS) are a type of local positioning system that allows tracking and identifying the location of objects in real time. Using simple, inexpensive badges or tags attached to the objects, readers receive wireless signals from these tags to determine their locations. RTLS typically refers to systems that provide passive or active (automatic) collection of location information.

The system can be installed anywhere in our facility without disruption, even in occupied patient rooms and sterile areas. Nodes plug securely into electrical outlets and form the wireless mesh network that ensures seamless operation. Users track equipment and people from any accessible hospital-based computer using the location software search engine. The interface is intuitive, offering simple, one-click searching capability that requires little to no staff training. With the selection made, a facility-specific map appears pinpointing the location or status of the asset or person.
